Rice Valley Redux

This is based on the existing rice terraces in the Philippines. Since most rice terraces is built on a hill with a valley below it, I manage to conceptualize a huge valley that is surrounded by large terrace upon terrace of rice. Some parts of course are exagerrated but it would be really amazing if you can see this type of man made mega structure!

I used Maya to model most of the mountains and rocks which where then taken to Zbrush for refinement and then to Photohop for the final composition. The sketch is doen in Photoshop only.

The Mall

This image is titled as "THE MALL". The concept is based on a huge mall that has all you need, literally! This mall has its own park, spaceport, villages and even a theme park! (behind the waterfall). Its a small world in one place.

This image took about 2 weeks of work on and off at about 3-4 hours a day. I used maya for all the ships and the buidlings, Vue Infinite for the sunset (part of it), and photoshop to combine all the elements to create this image. Original working resolution is 3200 x 1600, I scaled it down to create a crisp final output, I hope you guys like it....

Birth Of Destruction

This is my submission to a local digital contest. I wanted to depict the effects of our current passive attitude towards out environment through contrasting images in one big picture with mother nature giving birth to destruction that will eventually replace her. I want the image to be critiqued, especially the way I painted the "woman" and the overall scene. Thanks!
